TVS Jupiter Highlights

The Jupiter is TVS’ best selling scooter since its launch in 2013. Its design may be sober but it is highly functional too, making it appealing to both mature and young buyers who are in the market for a scooter. However, for more visual appeal, TVS offers the scooter in a whopping 13 paint options, which is by far the most that any two-wheeler brand is offering in India right now. It gets a 5-litre fuel tank and a claimed efficiency figure of 62kmpl. Powering the scooter is a 109.7cc engine that produces 8PS of power at 7500rpm and 8Nm of torque at 5500rpm.

It features telescopic forks at the front and a gas-charged shock absorber at the rear. TVS offers a 220mm front disc as an option. Otherwise, 130mm drum brakes on both ends is standard, with Synchronised Braking Technology (SBT) on both ends, which essentially works like Combined Braking System (CBS). The TVS Jupiter goes up against the Honda Activa 5G, Yamaha Alpha and the Hero Maestro Edge.
